Project nostalgia – The deluxe

By December of 2025, Project Nostalgia was ready to be turned in.

The story had been told.
The emotions had been said out loud.

There was a listening session with Cisco that month where everything was played front to back.

That night, the decision was made to keep going.

That’s where the deluxe began.

Project Nostalgia itself traces back to July 16, 2025.

August Wild was in the studio with 30WONDER, working on a different project. One of those records would later become “Can’t Let Go.”

That same day, he reached out to NittyGritty.

There was no outline for what this would become. Just a message and a decision to create.

On August 25, 2025, they heard one of the first beats from Mani.

“Something Special.”

They connected with it and chose to move in another direction at the time. The sessions continued, and the music started pulling from real experiences — college decisions, discipline, relationships, nights that carried consequences, and moments that stayed with them longer than expected.

On January 2, 2026, “What About Me” was created during a situation that was still unfolding. The music began capturing things in real time, without distance from what was happening.

On February 21, 2026, they performed at Static Studios in Stockton.

That night introduced new voices into the project.

Jay recorded her first song ever on “All Love.”
2uesel brought his perspective to “In Your Eyes.”

The story grew with each collaboration.

March came with momentum.

“Want It Back” was recorded with J-Spazzin, who had been building his craft and stepped into the moment ready.
“Used To Me” came from a beat sent by WavyAstro from overseas, connecting instantly when Nitty heard it.
“Livin The Dream” found its direction when MaccTunez and Mulababy shaped the energy in the session.

“Summer Breeze” moved through multiple versions. Mac-G recorded on it early, then stepped away. Another artist confirmed a session and didn’t show up. Duce Tro stepped in and recorded his part the same day, completing the record.

Other records came together through timing and connection.

“Heart of a Phoenix” came from Mac-G sending a beat he had been working on, leading to a session that carried through to completion.
“M.T.V.” brought in DerDer Laflare, someone August had known since high school, adding a natural chemistry to the record.
“Slide Pt. II” was created on March 27, 2026, during a moment of urgency, and finished on April 1.

“Die With Me” began on March 26, 2026. ChromeZ NeutroN had already been in contact with August. He received the concept, melody, and lyrics, and returned the finished hook two days later.

Some records returned from earlier moments.

“Something Special” was revisited and recorded on February 20, 2026.
“Can’t Let Go” came back from July 2025 and found its place within the project.

Project Nostalgia became a timeline.

A record of decisions.
A record of moments that shaped the music.
A record of people who contributed their voice to the story.

The deluxe continued everything that didn’t stop when the first version ended.
